The Morakniv Finn, a handcrafted, sturdy knife with Full-tang construction, designed to meet the needs of your next hike. Whether it's uphill on foot, down the river in a kayak, or along a riverbank.
"Finn-Anders Andersson, born in 1848 into a family of watchmakers, had a talent for engineering. When he was in his early twenties, he had already figured out how to make knives in his father's workshop, but he had to carry the unfinished knives to the grindstone, seven kilometers away. According to legend, he was once asked if it wasn't time to buy a bicycle. With a twinkle in his eye, he replied that he couldn't carry that either."
The razor-sharp blade is made of 100% recycled Swedish stainless steel, a sustainable and local way to deal with a scarce material. This steel type has excellent toughness, sharpness retention, and durability. A good choice for an all-around outdoor knife. The blade is finished with a black PC coating, giving it a unique appearance and contrasting beautifully with the glossy scandi grind edge. The Finn has an ergonomically shaped handle made of raw ash wood from European FSC® certified forests. Ash wood is an amazingly naturally durable material. The wood is only treated with a protective layer of wax, preserving its properties throughout its lifetime. The included sheath protects the blade and prevents unintended cutting. The sheath is made of vegetable-tanned leather, which naturally shields it from the elements. The leather will also develop a patina over time, telling the story of its use and making each knife unique. Finn follows you wherever you go, take it with you and create memories.
