Lateral ventilation slits and a two-way front zip also allow good ventilation on strenuous ascents. The hood can be quickly stowed away in the collar when you don't need it, adjustable cuffs provide good wind protection. The inner thermal jacket is lined with a high-loft, very functional synthetic fill that, like conventional down, is sewn into chambers. This "synthetic down" has the advantage of being much easier to care for with a similar thermal insulation rating and also insulates when wet. In addition, the insulation is made from 100 % recycled PET bottles – and that's always a good thing. The vapor-permeable stretch inserts under the arms ensures good temperature regulation.
