General

The Avignon Eco 3-in-1 Jacket from Ayacucho is really three jackets in one and can be worn all year round. What's special about the Avignon Eco is that this jacket is a sustainable and environmentally friendly product. Its exterior is made of recycled Repreve fabric. This fabric is recycled from PET bottles and doesn't contain any BPA. The fabric feels soft and supple to wear and is temperature regulating. The lined inner jacket is made of DuPont Sorona®. Sorona® is bluesign® and Oeko-Tex® certified. Around 30% less energy is required to produce this fibre, and the CO2 emission is about 60% lower than in the production of other comparable fibres. The jacket has an adjustable, removable hood with a stiffened peak. The main zip down the middle has a storm flap. The pockets, two hand pockets and a breast pocket, have a zip fastening. The cuffs have Velcro fasteners.

Washing waterproof garments

Always review the jacket labels before washing for specific washing instructions. We recommend that you wash your waterproof jacket with a technical detergent on a regular basis. This prevents damage to the waterproof layer. Rise it out well so that there are no soap residues. Never use fabric softener.

Impregnating waterproof garments

When you impregnate your jacket, it is a good idea to put it in the dryer after washing it. This reactivates the water repellent layer on the outside. After several washes, the outside of your garment will absorb moisture. The jacket will become heavy and feel cold and clammy. When that happens, it is time to impregnate the jacket. Use a product made for the washing machine or choose a spray.
