General
Old PET bottles have been transformed as if by magic into Ripstop Repreve outer material.
The trousers have been treated with Teflon Ecolite DWR (60% bio based) to prevent them from retaining water.
After several washes, their water repellent properties can be restored using a waterproofing agent.
They have a zip up to the knee to make it easier to pull them up over (mountain) hiking shoes.
The zip is protected with a storm flap.
The trousers can be stowed away in their own pocket. Ideal for keeping in your backpack in case it rains.
Having a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm, they provide adequate protection from normal showers.
Not designed for use during extended cycling trips.

Washing waterproof garments
Always review the jacket labels before washing for specific washing instructions. We recommend that you wash your waterproof jacket with a technical detergent on a regular basis. This prevents damage to the waterproof layer. Rise it out well so that there are no soap residues. Never use fabric softener.
Impregnating waterproof garments
When you impregnate your jacket, it is a good idea to put it in the dryer after washing it. This reactivates the water repellent layer on the outside. After several washes, the outside of your garment will absorb moisture. The jacket will become heavy and feel cold and clammy. When that happens, it is time to impregnate the jacket. Use a product made for the washing machine or choose a spray.
