The Ayacucho Chubasco will increase your visibility and keep you dry. The waterproof rating of 10,000mm and comprehensively taped seams will keep you dry for a long time. The jacket has a Teflon Eco Elite PFC free DWR coating making it more durably water repellent. The material is also breathable to minimise overheating, more so than with a standard raincoat. Should you still get too hot you can undo the 2-way underarm pit zips. The adjustable hood with drawstring and flap provides good all round visibility, which is also safer when cycling. Velcro adjustable cuffs keep out the wind. Hem drawstring adjustment. Matching reflective elements to make you more visible. Storm flap across the main zip to keep out the wind and rain. 2 large handwarmer pockets with zip and water resistant bonding. The zips are not 100% waterproof, but they are water resistant. This jacket is not insulated and can easily be worn over a thick intermediate layer in winter. It can be rolled up into the hood and stored in a backpack when the weather is dry. The material on the shoulders is not suitable for wearing a heavy backpack during long hikes.
