General

The Women’s Lluvia Reflective Coat from Ayacucho will ensure that you are visible at all times and will keep you dry. A waterproof rating of 10,000mm and comprehensively taped seams will keep you dry in and around the city. The material is also breathable to minimise overheating, more so than with a standard raincoat. The coat has been given a Teflon Eco Elite PFC free DWR coating making it more durably water repellent. Adjustable hood with reinforced flap. Storm flap across the main zip to keep out the wind and rain. Adjustable push button cuffs. Reflective elements to increase your visibility in traffic. This coat is not insulated and can easily be worn over a thick intermediate layer in winter. It can be rolled up into the hood when you are not using it.

Washing waterproof garments

 

Always review the jacket labels before washing for specific washing instructions. We recommend that you wash your waterproof jacket with a technical detergent on a regular basis. This prevents damage to the waterproof layer. Rise it out well so that there are no soap residues. Never use fabric softener.

 

Impregnating waterproof garments

 

When you impregnate your jacket, it is a good idea to put it in the dryer after washing it. This reactivates the water repellent layer on the outside. After several washes, the outside of your garment will absorb moisture. The jacket will become heavy and feel cold and clammy. When that happens, it is time to impregnate the jacket. Use a product made for the washing machine or choose a spray.
