The cleverly revised Venus lll DLX Extreme definitely lives up to its name. For two people, the tent is a true luxury shelter with a generous sleeping area and plenty of room for gear. The spacious vestibule at the front can be accessed via both a front and side entrance and also offers space for a pleasant sojourn on rainy days. Inside the vestibule, various mesh pockets keep things organized. The side entrance can optionally be closed by only sealing the see-through mesh door allowing views and enhancing ventilation. The generous doors to the inner tent can be quickly and easily stowed in the mesh pockets. On the tent ceiling, the integrated Gear Loft offers additional storage space for clothes or other items and can be easily cinched away with a cord when not in use. As of 2021, the Venus lll DLX Extreme has become lighter and stronger with the use of silicone-coated Nylon fabrics. This makes it the bascamp tent par excellence.
