General
Named for its intended use, the K2 Excavator specializes in digging deep trenches on groomers and displacing powder after a storm cycle.
Built around a wider perimeter with a dual-radius sidecut, the Excavator is unisex in approach and caters to advanced riders, carving groomers, and floating in powder. The wider profile of the Excavator allows riders to size down around 5cm from their usual length without sacrificing performance. This extra width and 20mm taper benefits riders with larger feet, reducing toe drag on deep carves and long traverses.
Inside, we use our smooth-flexing S1 Core to keep it responsive and damp underfoot. Finally, we top it with our ICG 10 Biax Glass with tip-to-tail carbon stringers. This technology lets us keep the snowboard relaxed torsionally for easy turn initiation but helps to add snap over the entire length of the board. We’ve also added our pre-cambered Carbon Power Forks in the tail to allow for an energy boost into and out of turns and those spontaneous “Slow Sign” ollies. This tech is sandwiched between a wax-infused Sintered 4001 base, waxable and supremely durable P-Tex sidewalls, and a snow-shedding SnoPhobic top sheet.

NEW! S1 Core - Smooth flexing and durable enough to pack a five-year warranty, the S1 Core is made from three renewable species of timber - Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia. Aspen and Bamboo work together to highlight the snap and response of this wood and a Bamboo-dominant underfoot section at 30° to increase strength, supercharge the edge-to-edge response, and increase the pressure distribution along the edge. We’ve also placed lightweight paulownia in the tip and tail to help to reduce swing weight. - ICG 10 GLASS WITH CARBON:
Integrating Carbon Fiber stringers that run the length of the board into our fiberglass increases the snap of the snowboard without adding unnecessary rigidity. - SNO-PHOBIC TOP SHEET:

This top sheet material sheds unwanted snow build-up, keeping your snowboard light and nimble. - CARBON POWER FORK:
A pre-cambered carbon inlay in the tail of your snowboard gives the board energy in and out of turns and adds extra pop for takeoffs and landings. - HYBRITECH SIDEWALL CONSTRUCTION:
A K2 exclusive. By transitioning from a P-Tex sidewall into a capped construction in the tip and tail of our snowboards, we can reduce waste while giving our snowboards better energy transfer and making them more durable than our competitors. - WAX INFUSED SINTERED 4001 BASE:
Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base - Built using the hardest and fastest Sintered base material on the market from Crown, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 holds wax longer than other Sintered bases for a smoother glide, longer. - 2 X 4 INSERT BINDING MOUNTING:
