Franse stad met een Vlaams tintje Deze gids biedt drie wandelingen door Lille, een leuke stad met die unieke Franse sfeer. Ooit maakte de stad deel uit van Vlaanderen. Het was een welvarende handelsstad in de middeleeuwen, een vestingstad tijdens Lodewijk XIV en een industriestad in de 19de en 20ste eeuw. Lille onderging in het begin van deze eeuw een metamorfose en ontpopte zich als een kunst- en winkelstad maar het prachtige oude centrum bleef behouden. Rond het TGV-station Lille Europe verrees de door Rem Koolhaas ontworpen zakenwijk Euralille. In deze gids worden ook het naburige Roubaix, Villeneuve d’Asq en het Louvre in Lens beschreven.
