A certified mass balance process was used in which pyrolysis oil is extracted from end-of-life tires and fed into a conventional polyamide production process. Chemical recycling reduces CO2 emissions by up to 60%. In addition, these men's shorts are climate neutral. We’ve analyzed and systematically reduced all emissions arising from materials, manufacturing, and shipping. Emissions that are currently unavoidable were fully offset by the independent non-profit organization myclimate.
