General

Sporty, technical jacket for ambitious mountain and hiking tours – the Elope, a men's lightweight 3in1 jacket. It offers full protection from cold temperatures, blowing snow and pouring rain, yet it's still practical when you only need a little warmth thanks to the removable insulated jacket. The hardshell has an eco-friendly, breathable Ceplex Green membrane and, together with the hf-welded zips, is absolutely waterproof and windproof. Lateral ventilation slits and a two-way front zip also allow good ventilation on strenuous ascents. The hood can be quickly stowed away in the collar when you don't need it, adjustable cuffs provide good wind protection. The inner thermal jacket is lined with a high-loft, very functional synthetic fill that, like conventional down, is sewn into chambers. This "synthetic down" has the advantage that it is much easier to care for with a similar thermal insulation rating to conventional down and also insulates when wet. In addition, the insulation is made from 100 % recycled PET bottles – and that's good for the planet. The vapor-permeable stretch inserts under the arms ensures good temperature regulation. Both jackets can be stowed away in their own inner pocket to save space when you carry them in your pack. The style factor is upped with expandable front pockets and the slightly embossed outer fabric. A rock solid, full featured men's jacket that can be worn all year round for a myriad of mountain sports activities. The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable, bluesign certified materials.

Washing waterproof garments

Always review the jacket labels before washing for specific washing instructions. We recommend that you wash your waterproof jacket with a technical detergent on a regular basis. This prevents damage to the waterproof layer. Rise it out well so that there are no soap residues. Never use fabric softener.

Impregnating waterproof garments

When you impregnate your jacket, it is a good idea to put it in the dryer after washing it. This reactivates the water repellent layer on the outside. After several washes, the outside of your garment will absorb moisture. The jacket will become heavy and feel cold and clammy. When that happens, it is time to impregnate the jacket. Use a product made for the washing machine or choose a spray.
