The hardshell has an eco-friendly, breathable Ceplex Green membrane and, together with the hf-welded zips, is absolutely waterproof and windproof. Lateral ventilation slits and a two-way front zip also allow good ventilation on strenuous ascents. The hood can be quickly stowed away in the collar when you don't need it, adjustable cuffs provide good wind protection. The inner thermal jacket is lined with a high-loft, very functional synthetic fill that, like conventional down, is sewn into chambers. This "synthetic down" has the advantage that it is much easier to care for with a similar thermal insulation rating to conventional down and also insulates when wet. In addition, the insulation is made from 100 % recycled PET bottles – and that's good for the planet. The vapor-permeable stretch inserts under the arms ensures good temperature regulation. Both jackets can be stowed away in their own inner pocket to save space when you carry them in your pack. The style factor is upped with expandable front pockets and the slightly embossed outer fabric.
