Woolpower has created Protection product line, made for the high demands of the professional user. These products confirming to specific EN standards, such as Flame Resistance, Antistatic and Electric Arc, are grouped under the name Woolpower Protection.
As part as Woolpower's responisbility to the environment they don't add chemicals, such as Bromide, in order to achive flame resistance. Instead they get it from the unique characteristics in the fiber composition.
All of the products in the Protection line are tested and certified at FIOH in Finland. Protection LITE hasalso been tested in the US to meet the minimum requirements of ASTM 1506-10A for apparel meterials in NFPA 70E.
The snug fitting heklet liner covers the head and neck. The woolen yarn is woven along the inside of the garment in 'loop-shape'. This allows more air to be retained. And therefore provides better insulation It also works very well for transporting moisture to the outside of the garment where it can evaporate. You can also wash the garment at 60 °!
